Developers from Canadian studio Offworld Industries announced that they decided to add the Armed Forces of Ukraine as one of the factions in the tactical military game Squad due to the large number of Ukrainian players.

In the July update for Squad players, the developers talked about their further plans for the game’s development.
» Ukraine’s active player base ranks third and fourth in terms of size. Therefore, I would like to announce that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will join the Squad factions later this year!», — Offworld Industries reported.
The developers added that they have also worked on updating and remastering assets for the Eastern European biome. This includes elements such as foliage, props, and buildings for this biome.
Squad is a realistic tactical military first-person shooter created with input from combat veterans. It is the spiritual successor to the famous Project Reality mod for Battlefield 2.
The game was released on Steam in 2020 and has been a huge success and popularity with players. Squad has sold an estimated 6-8 million copies and has received very positive reviews (84% positive) based on over 158,000 player reviews.
Squad has text Ukrainian localization and costs 960 UAH in the Ukrainian region of Steam.
