«Mriya» is a state educational ecosystem (app and web portal) for students, parents, and teachers. It aims to help teachers get rid of unnecessary bureaucracy and teach children effectively. The ecosystem combines digital student IDs, class schedules, educational content, and secure communications.
Google funding will help the Mriya team with a nationwide rollout of the ecosystem in schools, piloting it in kindergartens, and onboarding new users. The ultimate goal is to reach over 500,000 parents and students by providing them with a centralized hub that connects all stakeholders in the educational process.
«At Google, we believe that education is the foundation for building a successful future, and the Mriya platform is a shining example of this vision. Our support will help the Mriya team expand its activities, integrate advanced AI tools to personalize learning, and empower Ukrainian students, teachers, and parents», — said Rowan Barnett, Director of Google.org Europe.
According to the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov, support from Google will help develop the product faster, add new capabilities and tools based on artificial intelligence.
«In September, more than 2,000 schools have already started training with Mriya. In 2026, we will begin piloting preschools and developing a concept for higher education institutions… It is important that Google systematically supports the development of Ukrainian education — from the restart of the Diya.Osvita platform with financial and volunteer support from Google.org Fellows to the introduction of new technologies…», — Fedorov commented.
Google’s support will be implemented, in particular, through a partnership with the Eastern Europe Foundation, which acts as a key intermediary in implementing initiatives and programs aimed at developing Mriya.
Recall that with the help of artificial intelligence, Mriya is creating a big data model — an educational graph. This is a system that analyzes the connections between school subjects, skills, grades, and interests of a child in order to provide individual recommendations for their development.
