The British agency Oxford Insights has published its annual ranking of countries in the development of artificial intelligence. This year, Ukraine rose 14 points to 40th place in the overall ranking.
The report's reviewers noted that the digitization rate of government services in Ukraine was 99.63%, which is higher than the ranking leaders, the United States and the United Kingdom. 92.25% of Ukrainian legislation meets international standards.
"Ukraine also continues to deepen the role of digital technologies, including recent research into artificial intelligence, for national defense. Countries around the world are closely monitoring its progress in this critical area," the report's author noted.

Ukraine scored the lowest in available computing power — 10.99%. The maturity of the AI sector also remains low — 27.6%.
In general, when compared to its neighbors, Ukraine is immediately behind seven countries. The first place in Eastern Europe is traditionally occupied by Estonia (19th place in the ranking), followed by Poland, Lithuania, Hungary, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, and Serbia.
Let us remind you that the Ministry of Digital Economy plans to be among the top three by 2030. Read how exactly this is planned to be achieved in the material on dev.ua.
