In three years, thanks to this technology, the company achieved an economic effect of $1.5 million. Now the agricultural holding is considering selling the solution as a separate product to other plants that process meat or fish.
The idea for DMMP arose from the need to optimize the poultry processing process. The first iteration of the platform cost approximately $0.6–0.8 million to purchase new equipment for production lines, software development, and related infrastructure, Forbes Ukraine writes .
The DMMP pilot project was launched in 2022. Dozens of sensors and scales were installed on the lines, tracking the exact weight of each broiler. Based on this data, mathematical models were developed that identified critical points of quality loss and the potential for increasing the yield of the finished product.
Today, the system operates in real time, providing instant recommendations for adjusting equipment settings. Thanks to its high efficiency, the project paid off within the first year, and as of January 2026, it was scaled to three product lines. This allowed MHP to reduce losses during broiler carcass cutting by 2% for legs and fillets, and by 3% for wings.
To ensure the smooth operation of the system, MHP uses a hybrid data processing format: current information is analyzed on local servers directly at the plants, while historical data is sent to the cloud.
It is in the cloud environment that in-depth analysis, comparison of indicators of different periods and shops, as well as formation of ML models take place. The costs for physical infrastructure amounted to only 4% of the total cost of DMMP implementation.
"Today, we receive from each DMMP project 160–200 additional kilograms of meat for every 10 tons of chicken meat, where we previously had potential losses," said Taras Goshovsky, CEO of information and digital technologies at MHP, in an interview with Forbes Ukraine.
DMMP will receive five more new digital solutions in 2026, details of which have not yet been disclosed. Pilot launches are also planned at MHP plants in Serbia and Slovenia.
