In Ukraine, the demand for professional education in AI Product Management is growing among managers and entrepreneurs who seek to control the full cycle of artificial intelligence creation. According to data from IT university Neoversity for 2026, about 85% of those who master this discipline come to study without prior technical experience.
According to the results of the AI PM profile study, every second student already holds a management position: from Project and Product Managers to startup founders and C-level directors. The main motivation for 60% of respondents is career development and the desire to be responsible for business results in the conditions of total integration of AI into products.
Today’s job market requires managers not just to know the tools, but to be able to strategically defend AI initiatives and understand the logic of ML teams.
«Companies are increasingly looking for specialists who can transform the product in accordance with new market requirements. At Senior, Head and C-level interviews, AI skills are already included in the list of must-have competencies. It is about the ability to structurally evaluate initiatives and make decisions in conditions of uncertainty,» notes Anastasia Izotova, head of the Neoversity career center.
Executive Director of the IT Ukraine Association, Maria Shevchuk, adds that the implementation of the national AI strategy requires specialists who understand not only the technical aspect, but also issues of ethics, privacy, and compliance. According to her, AI Product Management is becoming a basic competency for a modern manager, allowing to test hypotheses and assess the business value of solutions.
According to the World Economic Forum forecasts, published back in 2025, artificial intelligence remains the most in-demand skill in the global market. In Ukraine, this trend is amplified by the need for rapid digital transformation and the development of defense and civilian technologies that compete on a global level.
