According to Kyivstar CEO Oleksandr Komarov, the company hopes to implement this mechanism in 2026.
Currently, a Ukrainian investor can also purchase Kyivstar Group shares on the American stock exchange, but this requires a brokerage account with access to the US stock markets.
Komarov says that the main goal is not so much to assess Ukrainians' demand for Kyivstar shares, but to create a precedent.
«We want to set a precedent — to become the first Ukrainian company to allow its securities to be purchased in hryvnia and to do so during the war,» he explained in an interview with LIGA.net.
According to the CEO, entering NASDAQ gives Kyivstar several advantages at once: a liquidity mechanism, a more objective assessment of the company, and the opportunity to build partnerships with international technology companies.
