The integration of Alexa+ into Amazon Music should improve the search process thanks to a conversational format. While the previous Alexa responded only to direct commands, the new version is designed to communicate in the form of natural conversation, writes TechCrunch.
Now you can ask specific and unusual questions, such as about the influence on an artist's work or explore the deeper meaning of songs. Alexa+ can also find a song by a phrase from the lyrics or, importantly, by the title of the movie where it was used.
Alexa+ can also create personalized playlists tailored to specific requests. Here are a few examples the company gave: “Can you recommend some new music that will make me seem cool to my 13-year-old daughter?”, “What song plays during the opening credits of The Sopranos?”, “Create a playlist of 2010s hits that make me move fast, starting with a Nicki Minaj track.”
This feature is currently available across all Amazon Music subscriptions, but only to Alexa+ Early Access users. (To access Alexa+, tap the “a” button in the bottom right corner and ask your question using your phone’s built-in microphone.)
Recall that Alexa+ was first announced in February at the Amazon Devices & Services event. Although Alexa+ is still in the early stages of development and not yet widely available to the public, it has already reached over a million users.
