Amazon, through its Amazon Registry division, is officially launching the .PAY domain zone, the rights to which were obtained back in 2014. After years of "silence", the project is entering the public phase - and pre-orders are already open for domains that may cost many times more in the future.

The main strength of the zone is its clarity: short, clear, global. Just as the COM domain once became synonymous with the Internet, .PAY can become a standard for finance, payments, and transactions.
The launch will be in the Sunrise period (priority registration). Brand owners will have the advantage, as they can secure their brands first and protect themselves from cybersquatting. Everyone else can pre-order now - applications will be processed automatically after general registration opens.
At launch, over 600 domains have already been registered in the .PAY zone, and this figure is growing. The current list is available at domain.pay/uk/registered .
The .PAY domain is ideal for brands related to finance and transactions. Fintech projects, neobanks, crypto and Web3 services, as well as SaaS platforms and billing systems that want to move their payment logic into a separate, understandable domain, will benefit the most.
