From March 13th to March 27th, Free, Pro, Max, and Team plan users will receive double usage limits during a five-hour window if they work with Claude on weekdays outside of the 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM ET (3:00 PM to 9:00 PM Kyiv time on weekdays).
The promotion is automatic, so users don't need to set anything up to receive these benefits. It applies to all Claude users — whether on the web, desktop, or mobile apps. In addition, the terms apply to use through Cowork, Claude Code, Claude for Excel, and Claude for PowerPoint.
Anthropic previously ran a similar promotion from December 25 to 31, doubling the limits for Pro, Max 5x, and Max 20x subscribers. However, this time Anthropic is reaching a much wider audience, with the only exception being enterprise plan users, Engadget reports .
Anthropic bills the promotion as “a small thank you to everyone who uses Claude,” but it’s likely related to their ongoing standoff with the U.S. Department of Defense. After refusing to remove certain AI safeguards at the Department of Defense’s request, Anthropic was deemed a supply chain risk , which resulted in it losing a federal contract. In turn, OpenAI struck a deal with the Department of Defense, prompting many users to boycott ChatGPT in favor of Claude and other alternative AI chatbots.
