According to Axios, this is happening despite the public scandal between the Trump administration and Anthropic, as well as the «withdrawal» of the company’s products from government procurement chains in the US, primarily in the defense industry.
Thus, the publication concludes that the government’s cybersecurity needs outweigh the Pentagon’s animosity with Anthropic.
As a result, on the one hand, American military structures are expanding the use of Anthropic tools, and on the other hand, they continue to argue in court that the use of these tools threatens US national security.
In particular, two sources told the publication that the National Security Agency uses Mythos, and another noted that this model is actually used more widely in military structures.
