According to the acting Minister of Digital Transformation, Oleksandr Bornyakov, a small supercomputer has already arrived in Ukraine, which is planned to be put into operation in June of this year.
«We have already ordered the first complex — a small supercomputer, which we plan to launch around June 2026. It has already arrived in Ukraine,» Bornyakov noted.
As the acting minister noted, Ukraine is moving to the concept of a «state based on AI agents,» and the Ministry of Digital Affairs has built an approach of three levels, the first of which is computing infrastructure. So the supercomputer, as we can conclude, is part of this infrastructure.
According to Oleksandr Bornyakov, the second stage is software, in particular language models, and the third is services that companies will create based on these models.
As dev.ua wrote, the Ministry of Digital Affairs has opened a vacancy for Chief AI Officer at the state center for the development and implementation of AI — WINWIN AI Center of Excellence.
We will remind you that the Ministry of Digital Transformation, together with the telecommunications company Kyivstar, summed up the results of the all-Ukrainian vote for the name of the first national major language model — Ukrainians voted for «Syayvo».
