Drone operators have become the highest-paid professionals in Ukraine. Their median salary is UAH 73,000 per month. The top five highest-paid professions also include military personnel, aircraft technicians, rescuers, and network engineers.
This is evidenced by a study by Robota.ua, based on an analysis of over 1.15 million salary figures from vacancies, resumes, and user profiles. The analysis used over 1.16 million salary values from vacancies, resumes, and user profiles. The sample covered 864 professions and over 3,700 cities and towns in Ukraine.
The median salary of network engineers is 70,000 UAH per month, which allowed the profession to share fourth place with rescuers.
The top ten professions with the highest salaries also include sales managers (UAH 67,500), auto electricians (UAH 66,500), CE category drivers and truck drivers (UAH 57,500), and car painters (UAH 55,000).
Among civilian professions, the highest salaries are offered to business analysts — UAH 55,000. The list also includes realtors (UAH 52,500), auto mechanics (UAH 51,000), electronics engineers, real estate rental managers, dentists, and regional managers, who can expect about UAH 50,000 per month.
Among Ukrainian cities, the highest salaries were recorded in Kyiv — the median figure is 35,000 UAH. This is followed by Dnipro (32,000 UAH), Lviv (28,500 UAH), Odesa (28,000 UAH), as well as Kharkiv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Uzhhorod — 27,500 UAH each.
Separately, the researchers drew attention to the gender gap in salary expectations. On average, women evaluate their work 10,000 UAH lower than men. The largest difference is recorded in IT: women expect a salary of 37,537 UAH, while men expect 49,096 UAH.
The study also showed a significant gap between candidates' expectations and employers' offers in the security and law enforcement sectors. Companies are willing to pay an average of UAH 70,500, while candidates expect UAH 30,000.
