Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper said: “As the world changes and the threats we face multiply, we must ensure that the UK is always one step ahead of our adversaries. Our world-class intelligence agencies are at the forefront of this challenge, working behind the scenes to keep Britons safe. We are now enhancing their efforts with cutting-edge technology so that MI6 can recruit new spies for the UK – in Russia and around the world.”
From today , anyone who wants to confidentially contact the UK to report terrorist or hostile intelligence activity will be able to access the portal, writes the BBC.
Instructions on how to use the portal will be published on MI6's verified YouTube channel.
Users are advised to access it using trusted VPNs and devices that are not associated with their identity.
