The CEO of an advertising company published a "wild" job description for "A-players" and caused a wave of outrage on the Internet

The CEO of Icon.com, which is developing an AI-based advertising product called AdGPT (a kind of ChatGPT for advertising), published an extremely aggressive and provocative job description.

Candidates, whom the company calls “A-players,” must demonstrate an unwavering commitment to the cause, similar to that proclaimed by CEO Kennan Davison: “I’ll eat dog poop if it leads to victory.”

Icon.com's corporate "Values" statement, supported by, among others, Peter Thiel's Founders Fund, is a mix of macho jokes from classic Wall Street movies and AI-era philosophy, writes Tom's Hardware.

The job description says that "our culture will drive 99.99% of people crazy. And that's the idea."

Potential candidates are also warned, for example, that they may be required to “Break through walls to get things done… Be extremely pushy if it means winning.”

It's hard to say how employees will be able to maintain such high energy levels if they are also expected to be in the office "on weekends and at night if needed. And texting at 3 a.m. is no problem."

It is obvious that Icon.com does not accept those who seek to work remotely, because "Work is a key part of your identity/self-fulfillment in life."

However, Icon.com has already managed to soften the language in the original text, and also removed the photo of the "human resources dog" named Hurin.

People online are divided on whether this description is satire or excessive bravado. However, founder Kennan Davison's biography suggests it's the latter.

Davison, a Columbia University dropout, said that to reach the top, he “worked 100-hour weeks until I became a 100-fold engineer.” He is also motivated by the desire to “recoup the $12 million spent on the domain icon.com.”

The founder of the bodo service published a list of 33 “bonuses” for employees. Among them are booking a teeth cleaning every six months and remote wintering. What else is offered and what vacancies are open in the company
