German company ARX Robotics, which specializes in the development of ground drones, has shown the first combat modification of its Gereon RCS system — the Combat Gereon ground robotic complex. It is designed to enter combat first to increase the survivability of soldiers.
German company ARX Robotics, which specializes in the development of ground drones, has shown the first combat modification of its Gereon RCS system — the Combat Gereon ground robotic complex. It is designed to enter combat first to increase the survivability of soldiers.
Combat Gereon was created as part of a European-Ukrainian development campaign: in Ukraine, ARX collaborated with Frontline in Ukraine and integrated constant direct feedback from end users with Frontline’s expertise.
At the same time, ARX promoted the project together with its European partner Valhalla for certification and implementation in the procurement processes of European armed forces, Militär Aktuell reports .
Combat Gereon will be unveiled for the first time at DSEI UK 2025 in London, September 9-12. The NRC will be shown alongside Valhalla Turrets’ Loki Remotely Operated Battle Station. The integration highlights the platform’s ability to host modular payloads and support full interoperability within the ARX ecosystem, powered by Mithra OS .
It is currently known that the Combat Gereon is capable of carrying various payloads weighing up to 500 kg over a distance of up to 40 km.
In 2025, ARX Robotics opened a Ukrainian office and became a resident of «Diya.City». The company plans to transfer part of its production processes and development to Ukraine.
Last year, ARX announced the successful closing of a €9 million seed round, the largest seed round to date for a European defense technology company.
