Where to look for the Internet if there is no electricity? LUN has updated the map of providers that provide stable connection during blackouts

A map of the Internet during power outages is an element of Ukraine’s digital resilience during war. When the enemy tries to leave us without light and communication, the ability to quickly find a stable Internet connection becomes a matter not of comfort, but of security.

LUN and the Ministry of Digital Affairs created a tool, providers provide the infrastructure, and users share their experience — and as a result, millions of Ukrainians stay connected.

How the map works

The service is as easy to use as possible. Go to the map and view your geolocation with all the necessary information:

1. Which providers work in your home without electricity and how many hours their backup power lasts. The range varies from 4 to 72 hours or more — depending on the power of the equipment and connection technology.
2. What technology the provider uses — fiber optic, cable internet, or wireless solutions. This is important because different technologies have different resistance to interruptions.
3. How much does it cost to connect and what tariffs are available — you can immediately compare prices from different companies without having to call each one.
4. Real user reviews that confirm or deny the operation of the Internet during real blackouts. This is the most honest indicator of the reliability of the provider.

In November 2023, there were only 7 providers on the map. In September 2025, there were already 128. This is a 17-fold increase in almost two years. Over 96,000 addresses across Ukraine received confirmed access to stable internet during power outages. And this figure continues to grow every day.

The largest number of addresses with confirmed stable internet today are in three cities: Kyiv, Odessa, and Lviv. Large cities with developed infrastructure were the first to adapt to the new realities.

The number of participants in the map is growing: Internet providers have picked up on the demand for uninterrupted connectivity and are actively investing in backup power. This creates healthy competition, where the one who provides the most stable service becomes the most successful.
