Brave1, together with the Unmanned Systems Forces, the 3rd Army Corps, and the 2nd Corps of the Charter National Defense University, are launching the Battle Proven defense startup competition.
The competition will be held as part of Defense Tech Valley 2026 — September 16-17 in Lviv.
The main selection criterion is practicality. The organizers are looking for technologies that are already used on the battlefield or are expected to appear there within the year. Both Ukrainian and international startups at any stage of development are invited to participate.
30 teams will be selected, divided into three categories: Trail Blazers — breakthrough concepts, Gamechangers — field-tested solutions, Power Players — technologies that are already systematically used on the frontline and ready to scale.
Military partners — units with real combat experience — will participate in the selection and evaluate the startups live on stage.
Defense Tech Valley 2026 will bring together over 7,000 participants from 50 countries and the world’s leading investors in the sector.
