Today, information appeared in the Telegram channel "Overheard in IT" that lifecell allegedly reduced its IT department by 70%.
We contacted the company with a request for this information. Here is what the press service replied:
"Since the beginning of the merger, the DVL group of companies has been working to create the most effective business model, which should take into account the joint work of all three companies — Datagroup, Volia, lifecell.
This work consists of several stages: assessment and analysis of the situation, selection of optimal solutions, creation of new general approaches. Review, update and optimization concern company costs, business processes, IT systems, organizational structures - for each of the areas, those solutions are selected that will allow to continue work without loss of efficiency and quality of services for the client.
In 2025, we should complete the processes related to the formation of a unified structure. In individual divisions, in accordance with the current goals of the group, during this period, the overall workload is being reviewed, and in some cases, duplication of functions is being eliminated.
Some areas need optimization, some expansion. In particular, the technical department is significantly increasing and is recruiting more than 300 new employees due to the scaling of energy sustainability projects, construction and modernization of the network . At the same time, the unification of IT systems also requires a partial revision of the number of IT personnel in the relevant area, but in general this does not exceed 15% for the group of companies . In such processes, the company complies with the requirements of current legislation.
