From now on, mine action operators at Diia can complete their certification almost entirely remotely: from application submission to appeal. The only thing left offline is the on-site inspection.
This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko.
Diia provides separate offices for operators and certification bodies, which should speed up communication between them, including the exchange of documents.
Each stage has clear deadlines, and the minimum certification time will be from 1 month.
According to Svyrydenko, there are currently 125 registered operators, of which only 8 are foreign.
«Scaling up and accelerating demining is among the key priorities of the Government,» the Prime Minister noted. «The service will make the process transparent and convenient, and most importantly, it will accelerate the pace of demining.»
