«The story is as follows, there was an active vacancy for a front-end developer. All the conditions suited me, I sent my resume through „Rezerv+“, some time passed, and there it said on the vacancy „Invited for an interview“. I was waiting for a call, but nothing. And then I saw the same vacancy on Djinni, immediately sent a request, and they sent me a google.doc, which I filled out. And nothing, no one even called!», — says the IT guy.
According to Oleksiy, the vacancy has already been closed. «And the question is, does it even work? Did they do it to hire ‘whoever is needed’,» the developer wonders. He added that it was a remote vacancy or a position with an office in Kyiv.
In the comments to Oleksiy’s post, IT-specialists note that such cases are not uncommon.
«For some reason, this is a normal practice in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Some respond in a few hours, others in weeks, months. And yes, sometimes they even write back/call a year later. I understand what vacancy you wrote about. I also went there, filled out the form, and they even wrote back to me. As far as I understand, they found a person who suited them… But unfortunately, they didn’t notify anyone about it,» notes Front-End Developer Mykola Belenchuk.
«It would be funny if, after sending your resume, they knocked on your door for an interview and then dragged you to the bus, and then…», says developer Yuriy Starchenko ironically.
Frontend Developer Oleksandr L. notes: «Wait, you’ve come, all that’s left to do is wait… It’s not a fact that it’s for the frontend, but it’s definitely for the front.»
