Ukrainian defense-tech company DoD Solution, which is developing the AURA onboard autonomy platform for working on edge devices, has appointed Igor Yevchynets to the position of CTO.
Ukrainian defense-tech company DoD Solution, which is developing the AURA onboard autonomy platform for working on edge devices, has appointed Igor Yevchynets to the position of CTO.
At DoD Solution, Yevchynets will lead the development of the software stack and computing platform for AURA, said the startup’s CEO Roman Gapachilo. Key engineering tasks include visual navigation in degraded environments, real-time object detection at the edge, data fusion from multiple sensors with limited bandwidth, and model optimization for ARM processors and specialized accelerators.
An interesting detail: Yevchynets, the company’s CPO Nazar Kravchuk, and the CEO — all three graduated from the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv in applied mathematics.
Yevchynets has over 15 years of experience in software engineering and technical leadership. He spent most of his career — almost 12 years — at InterLogic, where he worked his way up from software developer to CTO. After that, he founded the startup TandemWay and was CEO at NeoLens.ai. He also has a strong mathematical background: during his studies, he took 13th place at the ACM ICPC World Finals. He graduated from the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv with a degree in applied mathematics and computer science — just like the company’s CPO Nazar Kravchuk and the CEO of DoD Solution Roman Hapachylo.
