Estonian-Ukrainian defense company DOD Solution has announced a strategic partnership with German-Ukrainian drone manufacturer United Unmanned Systems (UUS). The goal of the collaboration is to mass-produce AI-based on-board autonomy technologies in strike unmanned platforms.
Estonian-Ukrainian defense company DOD Solution has announced a strategic partnership with German-Ukrainian drone manufacturer United Unmanned Systems (UUS). The goal of the collaboration is to mass-produce AI-based on-board autonomy technologies in strike unmanned platforms.
This is stated in the companies' statement. The partnership involves equipping UUS drones with the AURA AI platform from DOD Solution for operation in conditions of countering electronic warfare and the absence of satellite navigation.
The integration is based on AURA AI technology, which combines software with the AURA SBC on-board computer. It provides visual navigation, recognition, target tracking and terminal guidance of drones in the event of loss of GPS signal and conditions of no or limited communication.
Both developers have already tested their own solutions on the battlefield. UUS has delivered more than 10,000 strike unmanned systems, and DOD Solution has applied its autonomy modules. Previous joint tests were considered successful, so the next step will be to install AURA AI on a larger number of UUS drone lines.

UUS has significant experience in creating unmanned platforms, as well as engineering and manufacturing capabilities, and we are adding onboard autonomy technology," said Roman Gapachilo, CEO of DOD Solution.
DOD Solution develops on-board computers and AI autonomy systems for drones. In turn, United Unmanned Systems, headquartered in Kyiv and Hanover, manufactures FPV drones, reconnaissance UAVs, bombers, and interceptor drones, adapting them to the needs of the Ukrainian front.
Recall that in early August, DOD Solution also announced a collaboration with European AI chip developer Axelera AI. As part of this agreement, the company will integrate the Axelera AI Metis M.2 accelerator into the AURA AI architecture to create a new generation of onboard computers, in particular for high-speed drone interceptors.
