The laid-off IT workers told DOU that among the conditions offered by the company are financial compensation, payment for unused vacation days, medical insurance, and the opportunity to leave work equipment.
According to the publication, the minimum compensation is at least two times the monthly salary, but will depend on the number of years of experience in the company.
«So far, there have been no details on how the payments will be made. I think it will be done at the end of next month, when the salary for the current month is paid. Everyone’s access has been taken away, we are already waiting for communication from HR on personal emails,» said one of the laid-off WiX employees on condition of anonymity.
Another of the laid-off IT workers shared that employees were laid off regardless of experience and position — these were both beginners and people with many years of experience, including managers of various levels.
According to the interlocutors, in some teams it looked like restructuring.
«It seems that some teams will be merged, so the need for managerial positions is decreasing. The situation also looks like some projects may be closed and people may be transferred to others,» one of the employees noted.
As dev.ua recently reported, Wix plans to cut about 20% of its staff worldwide in the coming months. Despite this, as of the end of May, the company had almost 20 vacancies in Ukraine.
