“Juni and even midges are under threat.” A Ukrainian entrepreneur who doesn’t know a single programming language created several mobile and web applications using AI in a few months

Ukrainian entrepreneur and researcher of Kyiv history Arseniy Finberg said that in a few months he created several mobile and web applications using AI tools, without having any programming experience.
According to Finberg, he primarily used toolsClaude Code and Cursor.
«I don’t know any programming language (apart from Basic and Pascal from school). And here’s what I managed to do in a few months,» he wrote.
Among the products he created:
The iPhone app, AudioTorah, is an app that provides rabbinical commentary on weekly Torah readings. According to Finberg, the original version was created about five years ago, but it was outdated. He rewrote the new version from scratch and went through the process of publishing it on the App Store himself.
three Android applications — «Audiotora» and two corporate applications for the fulfillment center, which help to quickly process orders and support specialized barcode scanners;
several web applications — in particular, a payment accounting and receipt issuing system for condominiums, as well as an automated workplace for the logistics center controller;
integration of an electricity meter for the Home Assistant smart home panel.
Finberg says that the development of AI tools significantly simplifies the creation of programs even for people without a technical education.
«Basic ‘programming’ has become completely accessible to those who can think and formulate a normal technical task,» he notes.
In his opinion, this still requires a basic understanding of application architecture — in particular, how the frontend, backend, and API work.
At the same time, he believes that the development of AI can pose risks for younger developers.
«Juniors and even midges are under real threat,» Finberg wrote.
At the same time, he said, experienced engineers using AI tools can significantly increase productivity.
«An experienced developer with AI can do tens of times more than before,» he notes.
Finberg also adds that the ability to correctly formulate tasks for AI is becoming an increasingly important skill. «It’s important to write a complete, clear prompt — not ‘draw me a flower,’» he explains.
In his opinion, the key change brought about by the development of AI is that the main value becomes not the technical implementation of the idea, but the idea itself.
«The value today is not ‘how to do it’, but ‘what exactly should be done.’ Because a typical homeowner can code the MVP of almost any application in a day or two,» he wrote.
According to Finberg, sometimes creating a prototype can take only a few dozen minutes.
«The idea arises in a cafe or even in bed — you give AI a task from your phone and within 10–30 minutes you have a working prototype,» he notes.
