In a comment to Forbes Ukraine, Gapachilo made it clear that from March 16 he will take up the position of CEO of DefenseTech startup DoD Solution (formerly Banderodron).
«I think I will bring more benefit to DefenseTech than, for example, to another IT service company,» he noted.
As Gapachilo himself said, DoD Solution is developing drone autonomy modules (navigation, object recognition, and homing) for FPV drones, wing-type UAVs, and interceptors.
The startup team consists of about 25 employees who independently develop both the hardware part — single-board computers — and the software.
According to YouControl, this company was founded in 2023 by Lviv residents Ivan Oleksiy and Nazar Kravchuk, but Gapachylo himself is among the founders with a 42,5% stake. According to him, he provided consulting services to the company.
Kravchuk served as CEO before joining DoD Solution. «He remains with the company, but in the role of CPO,» commented Gapachilo.
According to the former top manager of Intellias, his current goal in the startup is to raise funds from venture funds.
