In 6 months of 2025, Ukrainians purchased over 31,000 electric cars: which models were the most popular, and in which regions were they purchased the most?

In the first half of 2025, the Ukrainian car fleet was replenished with 31,753 electric vehicles. This is 30% more than in the same period last year.

TOP-5 new electric cars:

BYD Song Plus EV — 967;
VOLKSWAGEN ID.Unyx — 830;
HONDA eNS1 — 441;
ZEEKR 7X — 402;
ZEEKR 001 - 366.

TOP-5 used electric cars registered for the first time in Ukraine:

TESLA Model Y — 2968;
NISSAN Leaf — 2853;
TESLA Model 3 — 2670;
KIA Niro EV — 1664;
HYUNDAI Kona Electric — 1496.

Leading regions in electric vehicle registrations

The highest registration figures for such cars were demonstrated by:

Lviv region — 4451 (93% used);
Kyiv — 3914 (64% used);
Kyiv region — 2719 (73% used);
Dnipropetrovsk region — 2488 units (76% used);
Odesa region — 1817 units (76% used).

In terms of new cars, the most popular electric vehicle in the markets of Kyiv, Kyiv region, and Dnipro region was the VOLKSWAGEN ID.UNYX.
In the Lviv region and Odessa region, BYD Song Plus was chosen more often.

In the segment of used cars imported from abroad:

TESLA Model Y – in Kyiv and the region, and in the Dnipro region;
TESLA Model 3 — in Lviv region;
NISSAN Leaf — in the Odessa region.

Let us remind you that in the first half of 2024, the Ukrainian car fleet was replenished with more than 24,400 units of vehicles powered by battery power sources .
