More than an electronic queue. As a Ukrainian startup, SuoQ not only provides hardware and software for electronic queues, but also determines employee KPIs and collects data for deep analytics

Therefore, the introduction of an electronic queue in itself has become a truly significant invention for impatient representatives of humanity. Now an electronic queue in almost any public or private institution with a large flow of visitors is considered more the norm than some kind of know-how.

Standing in queues is probably one of those things that annoys people of any age, gender, temperament, nationality and social status. Therefore, the introduction of an electronic queue in itself has become a truly significant invention for impatient representatives of humanity. Now an electronic queue in almost any public or private institution with a large flow of visitors is considered more the norm than some kind of know-how.

But what deeper technological solutions are behind the usual electronic queue? And how can they be improved to create even more convenience for visitors, and for an institution that implements such a service, not only to ensure the distribution of visitors, but also to provide the opportunity to use electronic queue data as a deep analytical tool? We talked about this during IT Arena 2025 with the CEO and founder of the SuoQ startup, Denis Yaroshenko. After all, this startup is designed to improve electronic queues and make them something more than a way to avoid crowds and distribute the load on employees.

What SuoQ offers

SuoQ is a flexible platform for electronic queue management, online customer registration, feedback collection, analytics, and digital communications. The solution can be used to automate visitor flow management and customer service in various industries, including banks, healthcare facilities, government agencies, shopping malls, and service companies. The main goal of the product is to reduce customer waiting times, optimize staff workload, improve service quality, and provide transparent analytics.

Judging by his LinkedIn profile, SuoQ is not Yaroshenko’s first experience with similar technological products. After all, in the professional network he is also listed as CEO of ZKR Ukraine — a company that provides hardware and software solutions for medical institutions for the operation of medical personnel call systems. Among the solutions of this company is also the electronic queue ZKRQ. But the SuoQ startup is, as they say, a completely separate story, although the background is really important here.

«Our company SuoQ is a software and hardware complex that ensures the operation of electronic queues. We currently offer several options for operation: you can install a local license — it can be installed both on terminals and on a closed circuit, that is, without access to the Internet. We also have cloud solutions: you can use our subscription to fully deploy the solution anywhere in the world. Our software can be installed on any equipment, there is an application or you can immediately work in the cloud,» explains Denis Yaroshenko, the specifics of the SuoQ product.

According to him, the users of SuoQ solutions for electronic queues today are all departments of the State Tax Service in the city of Kyiv, as well as a number of ASNs. A significant number of state bodies have been connected to SuoQ solutions thanks to programs from international partners, in particular the UN and USAID.

«Back in 2022, we had more than 55 installations throughout Ukraine. We are both equipment and software manufacturers. We have a full-fledged, very broad API today, as 25 integrations with other services have been implemented,» Denis Yaroshenko explained to a dev.ua journalist.

Currently, he says, the SuoQ startup employs eight people.

Electronic queue as a measure of employee KPI

The founder of SuoQ explained to our publication that with the help of AI services, software for electronic queues can have much broader functionality than simply distributing people by time slots. From the point of view of customer convenience, you can not stand in front of the electronic scoreboard waiting to see your ticket number on it, but calmly go about your business until you are called by phone.

«We now have basic AI integrations. We will implement an analytical callback, when a person no longer just receives a push notification or reminder that they need to get in line because their call to the operator is approaching. A robot will call about this, and a person who is drinking coffee somewhere, resting, or doing their own thing will learn from it their status in the queue. For example, so that they are ready to go to the waiting area because their turn is approaching and there are only two customers left in front of them,» said the founder of SuoQ.

Customer convenience is, of course, an important nuance, but software from a Ukrainian startup can also provide important data to its direct users — commercial or government institutions.

For example, it is based on the electronic queue data that it is possible to determine the KPIs of employees — which of them provided services to the largest number of clients and in what time.

«Now we are linking it to KPIs — AI analytically tracks which employee did more work, that is, served more customers. We have now implemented this in the Tax Department. This can be a tool for staff incentives — based on this information, they issue bonuses. But in order to calculate employees' KPIs, you don’t need to manually upload any reports. We are fully automating this, and our software automatically writes this information every month,» the tech entrepreneur said.

According to Denys Yaroshenko, cooperation with Podatkova has been going on for over five years, when SuoQ did not yet have full-fledged cloud solutions, which are one of the main and integral parts of the startup that took shape in 2022.

«Our cloud solution is now at an international level and we have switched to an international model. Because almost all the top companies in the world in our field have completely switched to the SaaS subscription model. And only all post-Soviet countries still remain on closed-loop licenses. Now this model is being transformed a lot and, as we can understand from today’s IT market, almost everyone is switching to SaaS solutions. Therefore, we are now one of the first in Ukraine and post-Soviet countries to also transform the electronic queue into a SaaS solution, bringing it closer to the international level,» the founder of SuoQ summed up.

Where, besides Ukraine, does SuoQ work, and what is its relevance during mass events?

During a blitz interview with dev.ua, Yaroshenko shared that SuoQ is already operating in a number of countries — mainly in the commercial sector.

«We have two installations in Poland, four installations in Italy, and two installations in Austria,» the startup founder specified. According to him, these are mainly service stations and service centers, including Ukrainian service centers, which are represented in Europe.

In addition, using one of the examples, Andriy Yaroshenko explained what functionality SuoQ can have during mass events, in the organization of which the startup’s solutions are also widely used. In such circumstances, event organizers can simply rent SuoQ hardware and software solutions.

«For example, one of the last such events was a healthy eating event in Lviv, which had over 3,000 visitors. They were all registered and had their own unique code. We imported all these participants from the customer, and, in fact, we had a full-fledged closed business process that we tracked,» Yaroshenko noted, explaining that this allowed us to conduct targeted work with each visitor.

He added that SuoQ software allows for in-depth analytics on such mass events if the organizer is interested in receiving maximum feedback from participants.

«We did in-depth analytics: how much service was provided, how much communication. In addition, the organizers also wanted us to connect a module for VIP clients, who were warned that they would be recorded on video. That is, video and audio recording of such VIP tickets were conducted. If there was any bad feedback, then after each service our system resets the SMS message, or you can leave feedback directly at the event through the appropriate terminals. Then all this is analytically combined into one system, and we see this picture in our dashboard,» Yaroshenko said about the useful features of the software in organizing mass events.

According to him, the SuoQ cloud solution allows for full individual customization for a specific organization.

At the same time, the startup also offers solutions for those companies or organizations that do not want or cannot always be online to organize the work of an electronic queue.

«In this case, we made a gateway so that the system would connect either once a day or several times a day — in the morning and in the evening — to the Internet, that is, to the central server. The system itself also works in a closed loop. This is very relevant for those departments or districts where the Internet is unstable, but they need to coordinate everything electronically. Therefore, we have transformed ourselves very much over the past four years to meet these requirements,» Yaroshenko concluded his story.
