Ukrainian startups MacPaw and Respeecher announced a strategic partnership at CES 2026. They will collaborate on the voice capabilities of the «computer creature» Eney.
«The partnership will integrate Respeecher’s advanced text-to-speech technology into the Eney interface, giving Eney the ability to respond to voice requests in natural, human-like language,» the announcement of the collaboration states.
MacPaw says that «designed to capture and reproduce the style, rhythm, and pronunciation of a real-life voice actor,» Respeecher’s voice technology will give Eney greater emotional depth, accurate rhythm, and intonation patterns. As a result, he will be able to respond appropriately to different situations, provide answers to short queries, and generate longer explanations, helping to make conversations more natural.
Ukrainian AI startup Respeecher is known for its voice cloning technology for Netflix, HBO, and Paramount. Last fall, it became known that it would teach artificial intelligence to communicate in Ukrainian. The startup launched a Ukrainian-language Text-to-speech service, which, unlike foreign counterparts, does not have a «plastic» accent and can communicate in Surzhyk.
«From the very beginning, our goal was to provide Eney with a voice that sounds natural and human, but does not compromise privacy. We sincerely hope that users will enjoy Eney and that it will become a reliable assistant in their daily tasks,» said Dmitry Belyevtsov, co-founder and CTO of Respeecher.
MacPaw hopes that Eney’s new voice capabilities will create a more engaging experience for users. CES 2026 attendees will have exclusive access to a demo and will be able to choose from several sample prompts to interact with Eney. They can ask it to translate phrases in real time, create calendar events, set reminders, or turn on a VPN.
Recall that MacPaw, which created such popular Mac applications as CleanMyMac and Setapp, introduced Eney at CES 2025. The company claims that he is more than just another AI assistant, and rather a friendly interlocutor or colleague.
