In the Odessa region, a court fined an EPAM Systems programmer who tried to leave Ukraine. We tell you the details of the case.
According to the case materials, on July 4, 2025 at 8:30 p.m., the programmer, being on the western outskirts of the village of Digory, Podilskyi district, Odessa region, at a distance of up to 1,500 m from the state border of Ukraine, in a group of people, tried to cross the state border of Ukraine to exit Ukraine into Moldova outside the checkpoint.
Thus, he committed an administrative offense of attempting to illegally cross the border.
The man fully admitted his guilt, so the court found him guilty and imposed a fine of UAH 8,500. He must also pay a court fee in favor of the state in the amount of UAH 605.60.
The resolution may be appealed by the person held administratively liable, his legal representative, defense attorney, the victim, or his representative within ten days from the date of the resolution.
