ERAM created StatGPT based on the EPAM DIAL and EPAM QuantHub platforms, which became the basis for future solutions for analytics and conversational data research, according to the company’s press release. EPAM’s StatGPT 1.0 platform was first introduced in October 2023 at the SDMX World Congress in Bahrain, and has since been demonstrated at numerous other venues.
The new version of StatGPT 2.0 demonstrates a new approach to data availability and user interaction in managing and sharing statistical data. This version is based on the EPAM DIAL technology and has been developed in close cooperation with the IMF over the past six months.
The platform allows users to access and work with global economic and financial data using natural language.
«This approach is more efficient than current query tools. It ensures that users are directed to the data they need and understand how to best use it,» EPAM says.
The StatGPT 2.0 evaluation included eight publicly available datasets from international and national statistical agencies. It was carried out by more than 100 representatives of SDMX sponsor institutions and national statistical organizations.
«As a user of economic and financial statistics, I am excited about the StatGPT 2.0 GenAI platform, which will significantly improve the way users access global economic data,» said Jim Tebrake, Deputy Director of the IMF’s Statistics Department.
Earlier it became known that in October 2024 the staff of the Ukrainian EPAM office increased by 170 IT specialists: 57 — Junior and 113 — Middle+. For comparison, in October last year, 16 juniors and 29 Senior+ level specialists were hired.
