EPAM Systems announced the launch of a new strategic direction — Frontier AI Service. The main goal of the service is to solve one of the most pressing problems in the IT industry: to train advanced AI models to reliably perform complex and highly specialized corporate tasks.
While the first generative models were trained mainly on public data to learn a common language and basic coding, the market is now moving to the second stage - the introduction of multi-step autonomous agents and automation of specific business processes.
To solve these problems, EPAM will provide the following services:

Our new offering fills this critical gap by combining decades of engineering expertise with Frontier AI partnerships. We’re not just riding the GenAI wave—we’re building the infrastructure that makes enterprise autonomy possible,” said Elaine Schechter, EPAM’s Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer.
The new direction is based on an expanded partnership with the world's leading AI laboratories - Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and Microsoft.
To date, the EPAM team has trained nearly 10,000 architects certified to work with Claude; over 3,000 certified direct deployment engineers for OpenAI, and over 5,000 specialists certified to work with Gemini.
A key element of Frontier AI Service will be the development of custom RL environments to simulate business scenarios. These controlled virtual systems fully replicate corporate processes, allowing developers to stress-test autonomous agents, their logical thinking, and interaction with tools before they go into production.
According to Gartner's April 2026 report (Emerging Tech: AI Race), by 2028, 99% of AI agent platform vendors will offer such simulation environments (versus less than 25% in 2026).
