Estonia will allocate 3.5 million euros for Ukraine to purchase Starlink systems within the framework of the IT coalition.
As reported by «European Truth», this was announced by the Estonian Ministry of Defense.
According to the head of the Estonian Defense Ministry, Hanno Pevkur, Ukraine itself informed about the need for support for Starlink.
«And of course, this is extremely important assistance for them, which has a noticeable effect on the battlefield. Starlink capabilities are especially important, given Ukraine’s desire to significantly increase the number of drones that require high-performance Internet connections,» Pevkur explained.
The 3.5 million euros allocated for the purchase of Starlink communication systems come from the aid package to Ukraine that Estonia has planned for 2025.
Funds earmarked for joint Starlink procurement will be channeled through an IT coalition led by Estonia and Luxembourg.
