This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov in an interview with the YouTube channel PRESSING. According to him, the concept of using digital tools by the Ukrainian military impressed the head of Palantir during his visits to Kyiv.
The Ministry of Digital Affairs has been working with Alex Karp for over four years. The head of Palantir became the first top manager of a major global tech company to personally visit Ukraine since the start of the full-scale invasion in May 2022.
According to Mikhail Fedorov, the American data analysis platform Palantir today serves as an effective IT weapon for the Defense Forces, helping to improve the situational awareness of the military at various levels. At the same time, the Russians do not have a similar tool.
At the same time, Ukraine is actively developing its own solution that can compete with global counterparts. The Delta platform integrates information about the enemy from various sources and is used both for the coordination of unmanned systems and for infantry operations.
However, the greatest interest among Western partners is precisely how Ukrainians integrate these technologies into the general logic of warfare.
«Alex Karp was just shocked by how we use Palantir. He was shocked by our vision, what we do and what we plan to do. And he says, ‘your added value is not in the weapons you make, but in the management system,’» the minister shared.
Fedorov added that this thesis is also actively promoted in the international arena by the President of Ukraine during his communication with partners, emphasizing the uniqueness of the created military command architecture. According to the Minister of Defense, the uniqueness of the Ukrainian experience lies in the ability to effectively counter an enemy that has a total advantage in manpower and equipment.
«Alex Karp read it quickly. He gave very positive feedback from what he saw here. And he is definitely on the Ukrainian team,» assured Mykhailo Fedorov.
In his opinion, Ukraine has a competitive advantage from having people like Elon Musk, Alex Karp, Eric Schmidt, and many other representatives of large technology companies on its side.
