The attackers created a phishing site with a domain similar to the public services portal "Diya". The fake resource offered Ukrainians to download a fake application through a browser in order to gain access to their personal data.
The discovery of the fraudulent scheme was reported by the Diya development team. Technical specialists have already blocked the dangerous resource.
Experts once again emphasize that the official application can be installed exclusively from the verified App Store and Google Play marketplaces. The only legitimate web address of the state portal is diia.gov.ua.
"The main rule of the digital world: do not click on dubious links and never download files from unknown sites. Fraudsters invent new tricks every day, so critical thinking is your best antivirus," the project representatives note.
To increase the level of digital literacy, the developers advise you to familiarize yourself with educational materials on cyber hygiene and online safety on the "Diya.Osvita" platform.
As a reminder, criminals regularly use the "Diya" brand in their schemes. Sometimes even schoolchildren do this to give their peers the opportunity to buy cigarettes and alcohol .
