Ukrainian defense tech company Frontline Robotics has introduced the upgraded Burya 2.0 robotic turret, compatible with both the Mk 19/RDS40/AGL 53 40 mm automatic grenade launcher and the Browning M2 machine gun and its structural analogues.
The Burya 2.0 has a universal mount that allows you to mount a Mk 19/RDS40/AGL 53 grenade launcher or a Browning M2 machine gun. The mount is specially designed to ensure optimal placement of both types of weapons and their structural analogues. The turret is also equipped with electric trigger systems for each type of weapon for remote control of fire damage.
Storm 2.0 allows you to install a Browning M2 machine gun on a turret and fire remotely, which allows soldiers to work from cover, without direct contact with the enemy. The system is equipped with a ballistic calculator with automatic calculation of the trajectory of the shot. This ensures accurate fire at maximum distances for the Browning M2 and increases the effectiveness of the remote use of the machine gun in combat conditions.
The grenade launcher has the ability to fire along a mortar trajectory, which expands the scenarios for hitting targets from closed positions. A more accurate ballistic calculator allows you to aim at the first target in a few shots, after which you can confidently hit any targets within the working distance with the first or second shot.
An extended configuration is also available for the updated turret, with the ability to accommodate a box with a capacity of up to 150 rounds of ammunition.
The Storm has a modular architecture, so it can be installed on almost any ground robotic platform. In combination with the NRC , it can operate as a "mini-tank", which opens up new possibilities for remote control.
