Venture fund ZAS Ventures has invested in startup Gamow Tech, which is working on technology that could increase the success rate of infertility treatment using AI.
Gamow Tech was founded by embryologist Pavlo Mazur, biophysicist Konstantin Hnennyi, and deep-tech entrepreneur Maksym Slyzkoukh a year ago in the Netherlands. The team was also joined by ex-Reface specialist David Maiboroda as CTO, Forbes Ukraine reports. Gamow Tech came out of stealth just a month ago.
«All we had was a strong intention: to increase the success rate of infertility treatment with our idea. This idea turned into ReSpindle, an artificial intelligence that evaluates women’s eggs for genetic abnormalities, reducing the risk of non-viable embryos», Slizkouh said on his LinkedIn.
The investment from ZAS Ventures will be used to complete clinical validation, obtain CE mark certification in the EU, and scale up the product. The company’s valuation at the time of the deal was €2.4 million, the fund said.
According to Maksym Slyzkoukh, the startup already collaborates with leading IVF centers around the world, which conduct over 31,000 procedures annually.
«Our model achieved MVP accuracy, doubling the chances of detecting healthy eggs, which is invaluable for elderly patients», said Gamow Tech co-founder.
