For example, on the way to the airport, a driver can ask Gemini which gate their flight is departing from and whether there are any delays. The AI assistant will then find the necessary information in emails and check the flight status.
So Gemini will be able to, for example:
Get directions to a meeting from Google Calendar, even if the driver doesn't remember the address.
Find a car wash that the user photographed last week and build a route to it.
Recommend a restaurant to stop at on the way, taking into account the user's usual preferences.
Find the coffee shop that the driver mentioned in a previous conversation with Gemini.
To do this, the AI will be able to use data from Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Photos, Google Maps, YouTube, and Google search history. But the user must agree to connect the services and will be able to choose which applications Gemini will have access to.
Google began gradually rolling out Personal Intelligence to Android Auto on October 20. Over the coming months, the feature will also appear in cars with Google Built-in, where the company's services are already integrated into the multimedia system.

The feature is being rolled out worldwide, with the exception of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Nigeria. However, Android Auto is not officially supported in Ukraine, so the feature will not be available to Ukrainians for now.
