Google has announced a new Shopping tab in Gmail that brings together all your shopping updates and tracking in one place.
The Shopping tab provides an overview of online shopping right in your inbox, including "all purchase-related emails and package updates," the company said .
By clicking on the tab, you can see order confirmations, shipping and delivery updates, and more. You'll still see the existing feature (introduced last year) that shows information about packages that are arriving soon at the top of your inbox, but you'll also be able to see updates about packages that are scheduled to arrive at a later date.

The new tab will be located on the left side of your Gmail inbox, alongside other labels like "starred," "important," "manage subscriptions," and more.
Google said the tab will be rolling out to both mobile and web users on Thursday. If you don't see it now, it should be coming soon.

The Promotions tab has also been updated. You'll soon be able to sort promotions by most relevant, Google explained. This means you'll see messages from the senders and brands you interact with most first. There will also be "nudges" that highlight upcoming offers or promotions that are expiring soon.
This update will begin appearing in personal Google accounts on mobile devices in the coming weeks.
