Grammarly buys document editor Coda and merges companies: what is announced as a result

According to Coda CEO Shishir Mehrotra, both companies will merge under his leadership.
«Coda is joining forces with Grammarly, the trusted AI assistant for communication and productivity. Together, we will create the AI of the future. I am honored to lead the combined companies as CEO», — Mehrotra wrote in a blog post on Coda’s official website.
The companies' new CEO notes that they share a vision of a future where artificial intelligence will rethink every business application and workflow.
Mehrotra also announced that Grammarly will be integrated with the Coda Brain AI assistant, making the tool «smarter» and «more useful.»
Additionally, Grammarly Assistant will be integrated with Coda Docs, potentially improving the company’s word processor.
Previously, dev.ua wrote about changes in the management of Grammarly, a company with Ukrainian roots. In particular, Grammarly co-founder Dmytro Lider left the operations department. At that time, the company commented on who would fulfill his duties and what vacancies are currently open in the Ukrainian team.
Before this, Grammarly Inc. appointed two new directors — Mark Schaaf and Navam Velihindu — who will be responsible for technical and financial areas, respectively.
