Grammarly, a Ukrainian-based company that creates an AI assistant to support communication, has announced the launch of eight specialized AI agents. They will help with writing tasks — they will find reliable sources, check for originality, and can even evaluate work according to certain criteria and predict reader reactions.

They will help with writing tasks — they will find reliable sources, check for originality, and can even evaluate work according to certain criteria and predict reader reactions.
As noted in the press release, these agents will initially work in docs, a new native AI editor that provides support directly during text creation.
«It will help students with academic tasks, such as thorough research or structured feedback. It will also support professionals in increasing the clarity and effectiveness of their communication. This functionality opens the first phase of Grammarly’s transformation into a platform that will provide AI agents to work directly where users work,» the company says.
Grammarly believes that students are currently figuring out how to use AI responsibly in their writing and spending hours searching for reliable sources. Instead, Grammarly’s new agents will help «use AI responsibly, develop AI literacy, and maintain academic integrity» to build the practical skills employers expect.
For professionals, they will reduce the routine burden, leaving them in control of their own style, results, and creativity. Grammarly agents provide expert, context-sensitive support. Once activated, they perform the necessary actions, eliminating the need for complex prompt selection.

The new Grammarly agents will initially launch in Grammarly Free and Grammarly Pro ($12 per month). Later this year, the company plans to make them (and other agents) available to Grammarly Enterprise and Grammarly for Education users. However, the AI Detector and Plagiarism Checker agents will initially be available only to Grammarly Pro users.
The company says that agents will be available in docs at no additional cost, and will gradually become available on the more than 500,000 websites and apps where Grammarly services are available.
Grammarly previously acquired startups Coda and Superhuman and became one of the most valuable companies with Ukrainian roots. It chose a course to create a number of products and build a platform with many artificial intelligence agents to increase work productivity.
