The Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Danylo Hetmantsev, demands that personnel decisions be made regarding the acting Minister of Digital Transformation, Oleksandr Bornyakov, and the head of the PlayCity state agency, Gennady Novikov.
On his Telegram channel, he, in particular, published the decision of the committee he headed regarding the consideration of information from the Accounting Chamber.
This document, among other things, indicates that the Ministry of Digital Affairs and PlayCity failed to ensure the commissioning of the state online monitoring system within the time limit specified by law.
In addition, the decision states that the Ministry of Digital Affairs and PlayCity failed to ensure the establishment of effective limits on player spending on the game.
The decision also contains a clause stating that PlayCity failed to ensure compliance with the legislation on gambling advertising.
As a conclusion, the committee’s decision, signed by Hetmantsev, contains a call to recognize the work of Bornyakov and Novikov as unsatisfactory and to recommend that the Cabinet of Ministers take appropriate personnel measures.
Earlier, as dev.ua wrote, Danylo Getmantsev appealed to the Prosecutor General due to alleged violations surrounding the gaming monitoring system (DSOM) and the state enterprise «Diya».
Before that, the Prosecutor General’s Office opened a criminal case against PlayCity at the request of Hetmantsev.
