OpenAI has updated the Advanced Voice feature, which allows users to conduct conversations with ChatGPT out loud.
The company claims that ChatGPT voices now sound more natural and smooth, with “finer intonation,” “realistic cadence” (including pauses and emphasis), and more “accurate expressiveness” for emotions like empathy and sarcasm, TechCrunch reports .
Voice mode also allows users to translate languages more easily. ChatGPT can now translate a conversation until you tell it to stop or switch to another language.
OpenAI also said that there may be minor audio quality degradations, including "unexpected tone and pitch variations," and noted that the update does not fix voice mode errors associated with hallucinations, such as unintentional sounds, gibberish, or background music.
We remind you that the Advanced Voice feature is available to all paid ChatGPT users.
