«In general, I think that after all these „squats“, the Ukrainian IT infrastructure will become the most reliable in the world — soon, perhaps even beauty salons will have reserved IT capacity, so that it does not mean anything,» he noted in the context of today’s large-scale failure.
Gorokhovsky added that the cause of the outage could be a hacker attack on one of the large data centers. He later denied the assumption: «The hacker attack is not confirmed, but it’s still a Russian asshole.»
At the same time, he reported that Monobank was not affected by the failure. «It seems like it did not affect us. We are keeping our fingers crossed for our colleagues and are ready to provide any technical and methodological assistance. Monobank’s server capacity has been reserved three times: Kyiv, Warsaw, Amazon,» the businessman said.
As a reminder, on April 26, a large-scale failure of payment services and applications occurred in Ukraine. Disruptions were recorded in the work of «Diya», the «Nova Poshta» application, transactions via Apple/Google Pay, and the work of bank services.
