Ukrainian startups developing demining solutions can apply for up to £3,000 in grants. How to enter the competition
UK Ukraine TechBridge and Sikorsky Innovation Challenge are launching the Innovation for Humanitarian Demining competition for Ukrainian startups with a prize pool of £6,000.
UK Ukraine TechBridge and Sikorsky Innovation Challenge are launching the Innovation for Humanitarian Demining competition for Ukrainian startups with a prize pool of £6,000.
According to the Ministry of Digital Affairs, startups and research teams that have ideas or ready-made developments in the following areas are invited to participate in the competition:
creation of drones, robotic systems and multi-sensor platforms for remote detection of explosive objects;
development of ground and air autonomous platforms for safe cleaning of territories;
interactive maps and real-time demining management systems;
as well as those that have humanitarian demining potential.
How to participate in the competition
The competition will take place on September 30 in a mixed format in Kyiv at the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
To participate, you must fill out the online form and be sure to attach a project presentation in PDF format. Submission deadline: September 22, 2025.
What the application should contain:
contact details of the participant or team;
project name (up to 5 words);
a brief description of the project or solution (up to 1000 characters);
the specified topic (from the list of areas);
technology readiness level (TRL);
a project presentation (PDF) in PitchDeck format is required.
Additionally, it is advisable to submit:
link to the project website/video (if available);
information about the availability of a production base;
data on patents, know-how or applications filed;
purposes of participation: investments, customers, production, etc.
What participants will receive
Cooperation with top demining experts and operators;
investments and partnerships with British companies;
mentoring support;
a chance to implement the development into real projects.
The winners of the competition will receive cash prizes:
