Blackout schedule, Syrsky, Ecoflow and what is MSEK. What Ukrainians searched for in 2024 in Google: traditional query ranking

Among the most popular searches of the year, the first position was taken by the query «Power outage schedule». The request «Euro 2024» was in the second position, and «Syrskyi» was in the third place. Also in the top of the requests of the year are «Olympic Games 2024», «Easter 2024» and «Suja».

In the category of persons in whom interest grew the most during the year, the leader was the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi. Ukrainians were also actively interested in such people as Oleksandr Usyk, Donald Trump, Kamala Harris and Klavdia Petrovna.

Regarding the losses of 2024, the most requests were about Iryna Farion, Oleksiy Navalny and Alain Delon.

In the «Films» category, the Ukrainian documentary «20 Days in Mariupol» became the leader. In the second and third positions are the sequels of popular films: the animation «Thoughts Inside Out 2» and the space fiction «Dune. Part Two». Also, one of the most discussed films of the year «Saltburn» and «Substance», as well as the Ukrainian mystical horror film «Konotopska Witch» aroused considerable interest of Ukrainians.

Among search queries regarding purchases in 2024, Ukrainians were most interested in where to buy energy solutions — EcoFlow, charging stations, inverters, and solar panels. Also among the most popular requests in this category are Dubai chocolate, squash leg and tubing.

In 2024, Ukrainian users searched for the meaning of the abbreviations MSEK, REB, TsNAP and KAB. In addition, the Ukrainians tried to find out the meaning of the words «terykons», «quadrobers» and «chinazes», as well as what are blackout queues and the ok-7 reference.
