«I just launched my first product! And no, it’s not clickbait. This is a truly special moment for me», — Peteliyev wrote on LinkedIn. He added that his love of photography inspired him to create the app, which «made me rethink photo editing from scratch».
According to Scroll.media, the project began with the xDay hackathon at MacPaw before the COVID-19 pandemic. Peteliyev and co-founder Semyon Grozyan assembled a team of like-minded people, but quarantine restrictions and then a full-scale invasion put the project on hold.
It was later restored and tested with a limited number of users. Open access started on May 29. The description of Huusion in the App Store notes that thanks to intuitive controls and necessary tools, it allows you to create the best photos in just «one click.»
The app offers stylish and custom filters and various effects for photos. According to Yevgeny Peteliyev, Huusion makes photo editing «simple, fast, and stress-free».
The app is monetized with a monthly ($1.99) and annual subscription ($12.99) or a one-time purchase ($19.99) and has a free trial to test the app’s functionality.
