Elon Musk tops Forbes billionaires list, wealth hits record high
Elon Musk has topped Forbes ' 39th annual list of the world's billionaires, with his fortune soaring 75% to $342 billion, thanks to the rise in the value of his companies xAI, SpaceX and the strong performance of Tesla shares over the past year.

Despite the recent market decline, he remains the first person to surpass $300 billion in wealth.
According to the latest Forbes ranking, there are 3,028 billionaires in the world, the highest number since the list began in 1987. The combined fortune of these people is an unprecedented $16.1 trillion.
Following Musk, the top five billionaires on the list included:
Mark Zuckerberg, Meta — $216 billion;
Jeff Bezos, Amazon — $215 billion;
Larry Ellison, Oracle — $192 billion;
French businessman Bernard Arnault and his family — $178.
US President Donald Trump has also seen his fortune increase dramatically, more than doubling to $5.1 billion. This growth was driven by shares in his Trump Media & Technology Group and profits from recent cryptocurrency ventures.
