"I'm not a daddy to pay for her." Threads discusses trashy stories of stingy IT people

The story of a senior full stack developer who refused to help his girlfriend pay for her surgery sparked a chain of lively discussions about the stinginess of developers despite their high salaries.

Threads user Anna Naboka told an unpleasant story about an IT guy she knew. He worked as a senior full stack developer and had a good salary, but despite this, he was meticulous about his finances, even when it came to the health of his girlfriend.

“It was about a simple coffee date. He earned well, was an IT specialist (senior full stack), and she worked at a school. They met for a long time. I accidentally found out that she was in the hospital, she had surgery. And… they broke up before she was discharged. The reason: when they told her the amount for the treatment, she was a couple of hundred short. He even refused to lend her money, because “he’ll get used to it”. Her friends helped her,” Anna told the trash story about her acquaintance.

The post immediately gained popularity with comments expressing pity for the girl who had the surgery, as well as stories about the malice of other IT professionals, which raised the question: is it even necessary to have relationships with representatives of the IT sector?

“Some developers are very interesting specimens. I know one who, even before the war, earned at least 3K bucks, so he saved a lot on food, didn't buy meat "because it's expensive". Since I work with them, I didn't really want a guy from this field,” user katya_8_8_ reported about the “AIT economist.”

"You can throw stones at me, but I have never met a man among IT professionals who is worthy of a relationship. It's a very strange audience," tattoo artist Iryna summed up her experience.

The next example is about an IT guy who is worried about amortizing car expenses and doesn't mind taking money for transportation from his own mother.

"I have an IT guy friend who has been in this field for about 10-15 years, so he makes good money. Well, he always takes money from his mother for a trip in his car. We went to the dacha - money for gasoline, we went to the village - we look like gasoline. Mom is an ordinary pensioner," said asmoderos.

The user platy.pus.sy decided to recall her former IT worker, who refused to close her loan for 70,000 hryvnias, which the girl opened for an operation for her cancer-stricken sister. However, during the discussions it turned out that her husband paid in full for the rent of the apartment, health check-ups in private clinics and joint vacations. The IT worker argued the refusal to close the loan with preventive work, that such things should not be done.

There was a place in the discussion thread for a story with a good example.

"I once wrote to my ex and first boyfriend, also an IT guy, to borrow money to pay my monthly "volunteer" fee for my high school, because my parents didn't even have money for travel. He was surprised that I asked him, but he borrowed the money. When I later gave him back part of the tip from work, he wrote to tell me not to worry about the rest. At the same time, we didn't communicate at all. I remembered that forever," said the rradiance.sn user about the IT guy.

Де з чим я згоден, а саме. Якщо жінка бажає підкорятись чоловіку платити за все повинен чоловік. Як що ж ми йдем до так званої гендерної рівності - кожен платить за себе.
