During January-March 2025, 20,100 passenger electric vehicles (BEVs) were imported to Ukraine. The total customs value of these cars amounted to $355.5 million.
This is almost a third more than a year earlier, Ukravtoprom reports , citing data from the State Statistics Service. For comparison, in the first 4 months of last year, 21,400 electric cars were imported to Ukraine with a customs duty of $476 million.
Of the 20,100 imported electric cars, 4,400 were new , up 12% from last year. Of these, 93% were imported from China.
Recall that in the first quarter of 2024, Ukrainians purchased 4,200 passenger cars imported from China, 85% of which were electric cars.
The share of used cars is 15,700 (+39%). Most of them were from the USA — 38%.
Previously, dev.ua reported that among the new electric cars imported this year, the most popular are BYD Song Plus, VOLKSWAGEN ID.Unyx, ZEEKR 001, ZEEKR 7X and AUDI Q4 e-tron. Among the used ones are TESLA Model Y, NISSAN Leaf, TESLA Model 3, HYUNDAI Kona and KIA Niro.
