American fund Green Flag Ventures announced an investment in MaXon Systems, a Ukrainian defense technology company developing an autonomous, comprehensive counter-UAV platform. The system is designed to protect large areas from massive drone attacks.
American fund Green Flag Ventures announced an investment in MaXon Systems, a Ukrainian defense technology company developing an autonomous, comprehensive counter-UAV platform. The system is designed to protect large areas from massive drone attacks.
MaXon has developed an air defense system that combines high-speed interceptors, long-range detection and tracking, and an integrated guidance and targeting software stack to provide centralized autonomous defense of cities and critical infrastructure.
"We are impressed not only by the ambition of the technical vision, but also by the pace and seriousness of the execution. MaXon has already reached the TRL 8 technological readiness level, having received confirmation of its effectiveness in real combat conditions," the fund noted, but did not disclose the amount of the investment.
Separately, Green Flag Ventures emphasized that MaXon's roadmap clearly meets future requirements for scalable air defense systems.
“The company is focused on proving full autonomy at all stages — launch, cruise, and terminal phases of flight; implementing parallel control of multiple interceptors from a remote command post; and integrating radar guidance on the final leg to ensure all-weather capability. This is exactly the architecture with a priority on autonomy that will define the modernization of European and NATO air defense in the next decade,” the fund added.
So Green Flag Ventures joined other investors who backed MaXon, including BRAVE1, Freedom Fund VC, Big Defense, and others.
Recall that in the summer, MaXon Systems attracted $300,000 in investment in a pre-seed round , which was attended by Freedom Fund and Defender Ventures, as well as one business angel.
